Students review, practice, and extend learning from Session 1.

Practice and Extend

Practice builds confident readers. In Session 2, students review and apply what they learned in Session 1.

Student Worktext activities provide practice in letter formation, phonics, and high-frequency words.

At the end of Session 2, students apply their new and previously learned skills to the text.

In Units 1–3, students read Duet Passages together with the teacher.
In Units 4–6, students read Connected Texts chorally, with a partner, or independently.
